Located in the picturesque Langdale Valley, our venue is a playground of rugged landscapes, towering peaks, and a delightful atmosphere. As the only pub operated by the National Trust, we take a unique approach to dining, featuring fire pits, cozy blankets, engaging board games, mulled cider, and delicious fire-cooked meals. Your Role: As a Commis Chef, you will utilize your love for food and commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers. You will adhere to the National Trust Cookbook framework to prepare mouthwatering dishes while actively seeking ways to optimize income through waste reduction and effective resource management. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that every dish is fresh, flavorful, and artfully presented.
You will maintain the kitchen to the highest standards of cleanliness and compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, including food hygiene and COSHH. Collaborating effectively with your team will be essential in delivering outstanding results. Occasionally, you may also oversee volunteers.
