About the Role
We are seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to enhance our visual inertial odometry (VIO) algorithm stack's front end, contributing significantly to our mission.
Responsibilities
- Front-End Algorithm Development for VIO:
- Frame and stereo pair matching
- Calibration of both intrinsic and extrinsic camera parameters
- Obstruction detection
- Implementing and optimizing algorithms for embedded platforms
- Conducting testing, validation, and monitoring: testing algorithms in both simulated and real-world conditions, and developing tools for inspection and monitoring.
- Collaborative Work: Engage with system, optical, and software engineers, sharing insights effectively with stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in Robotics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline; PhD is a plus.
- Technical Expertise: Strong mathematical foundation and proficiency in Python and C++.
- Hands-On VIO Experience: Prior experience with VIO in industrial applications is highly advantageous.
- Passion for Robotics and Computer Vision: A genuine enthusiasm for the field.
- Communication and Teamwork Skills: Ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
