About the Role

We are seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to enhance our visual inertial odometry (VIO) algorithm stack's front end, contributing significantly to our mission.

Responsibilities

  • Front-End Algorithm Development for VIO:
    • Frame and stereo pair matching
    • Calibration of both intrinsic and extrinsic camera parameters
    • Obstruction detection
  • Implementing and optimizing algorithms for embedded platforms
  • Conducting testing, validation, and monitoring: testing algorithms in both simulated and real-world conditions, and developing tools for inspection and monitoring.
  • Collaborative Work: Engage with system, optical, and software engineers, sharing insights effectively with stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

  • Educational Background: Master’s degree in Robotics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline; PhD is a plus.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong mathematical foundation and proficiency in Python and C++.
  • Hands-On VIO Experience: Prior experience with VIO in industrial applications is highly advantageous.
  • Passion for Robotics and Computer Vision: A genuine enthusiasm for the field.
  • Communication and Teamwork Skills: Ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
