Essel Environmental is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role demands a professional with a robust background in project management and estimating, who thrives in meeting deadlines while juggling multiple estimates concurrently.
As a Construction Superintendent, you will collaborate closely with the VP of Operations, onsite Property Managers, and skilled tradespeople, including Maintenance Technicians, Carpenters, and Painters. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in project management and estimating within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in contract development, including scope definitions, pricing strategies, contract structures, and legal negotiations.
- Exceptional organizational skills to effectively prioritize multiple competing projects.
- A detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities, capable of meeting tight deadlines and adapting to a variety of personality types.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in both commercial and residential construction, particularly in multi-family housing projects.
- Ability to read and interpret commercial and industrial blueprints.
- Strong communication skills for effectively conveying company policies and procedures to third-party vendors, including architects, engineers, design consultants, contractors, attorneys, and government agencies.
- A willingness to represent the company with professionalism to Owners, Design Teams, Contractors, Suppliers, and Potential Customers.
- Readiness to spend significant time in the field and engage in hands-on work as needed to achieve project objectives.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- A ten-year track record in managing multi-family residential and commercial construction projects and budgets.
