About the Role
As a Content Acquisitions Associate, you will play a crucial role in securing a diverse array of content to enrich Crunchyroll's seasonal simulcast offerings and catalog lineups. You will enhance relationships with our Japanese partners, solidifying our reputation as the most trusted international distributor of Japanese anime.
Core Responsibilities
- Engage with Japanese and international partners to gather the latest updates on production schedules and explore growth opportunities in our distribution partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Japanese partners while managing daily business operations.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure top-notch service delivery and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our business across internal departments to address key issues, trends, and market dynamics.
- Maintain continuous communication with licensors to address requests and facilitate bid submissions, implementing solutions and reporting our activities effectively.
- Work alongside the Content Evaluation team to assess content value.
- Partner with the Business Affairs team to finalize contracts and ensure timely asset delivery.
- Coordinate with the Marketing team to obtain necessary materials for successful title launches.
In this position, you will report directly to the Director of Content Acquisitions.
This role is based in Tokyo, Japan.
