Summary
GeneDx is on the lookout for a talented and detail-oriented Contracts Manager to join our remote team. This pivotal role involves overseeing a substantial volume of intricate contracts within the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will merge their expertise in healthcare contracting with operational leadership, playing a critical role in the contract lifecycle process and ensuring seamless business operations across clinical, operational, and administrative functions.
Job Responsibilities
Contract Lifecycle Management
- Manage the complete lifecycle of contract drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing agreements across diverse business units.
- Develop and implement contracting standards, templates, and playbooks to enhance efficiency, minimize negotiation timelines, and ensure consistent risk management.
Business Enablement
- Collaborate with the Head of Commercial Contracts and Senior Manager of Contracts to facilitate cross-functional teamwork with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Operations, and Compliance, ensuring all contracts align with legal and business standards.
- Negotiate standard terms and contracts with external stakeholders under the guidance of the Senior Contracts Manager.
- Support the legal team on various projects as needed, working closely with the Head of Commercial Contracts, Senior Manager of Contracts, paralegals, and attorneys.
Process Optimization & Technology Enablement
- Optimize contract workflows and implement best practices for tracking, storage, and reporting.
- Enhance contract management tools and technologies (including AI capabilities) to maintain accurate and accessible contract records.
- Analyze contract data to uncover insights, improve negotiation outcomes, and support strategic planning initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with contracts, particularly those impacting patient data, clinical services, and vendor performance.
- Work in tandem with Compliance and Privacy teams to integrate regulatory updates into standard contract language.
