An ideal candidate will possess a degree in a relevant field and demonstrate substantial experience in project controls services for significant projects or programs. CIMA qualification is a plus. Experience:Proven track record of delivering cost engineering across diverse major projects, ideally spanning multiple sectors. Experience throughout the full project lifecycle, from pre-investment decisions to design, execution, and commissioning phases. Familiarity with cost engineering procedures and the ability to establish project cost standards and procedures. Proficiency in cost management systems such as Prism and Ecosys, including their integration with corporate finance systems like SAP and Oracle.

As a Cost Engineer at Turner & Townsend, you will play a critical role in supporting major projects by delivering precise and timely information regarding project performance relative to established baselines. Your expertise will be crucial in driving cost performance reporting, including all Earned Value Management metrics linked to essential project commitments and expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement project cost control data structures to effectively track and manage actual costs.
  • Establish and align project control budgets with agreed-upon baselines.
  • Monitor actual costs for both internal and external expenditures in accordance with cost control structures.
  • Oversee project accruals and commitments while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Create project forecasts that encompass estimated work to complete (ETC) and develop an estimate at completion (EAC).
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on all project information, including Earned Value Management metrics.
  • Track project contingencies and risks associated with potential risk events.
  • Manage project change control processes to ensure consistency with baseline agreements and control structures.
  • Identify key project trends to inform future change control decisions.
