Ebury’s Data Analytics & Compliance team in Málaga or Madrid focuses on strengthening the company’s regulatory Financial Crime Compliance capabilities. This hybrid role (four days onsite, one remote per week) centers on building data models, scalable analytics, and reliable reporting to support risk detection and regulatory obligations across global markets.

Role overview

The Data Analyst - Financial Crime Compliance Reporting works closely with Compliance, Risk, and Product teams. Collaboration spans designing and implementing data-driven controls, detection methods, and investigative tools for multiple jurisdictions. Projects involve developing global key risk indicator models, automating board reporting, and improving the regulatory reporting engine for transaction monitoring, screening, and client KYC datasets.

What you will do

  • Design and maintain data models and datasets for transaction monitoring, customer risk scoring, and financial crime investigations.
  • Manage the full delivery cycle of Financial Crime analytics solutions, including requirements gathering, data extraction, transformation, validation, and deployment.
  • Develop and enhance detection logic and monitoring rules, such as transaction monitoring scenarios, anomaly detection, and behavioral pattern analysis.
  • Perform data quality checks and controls to keep Financial Crime datasets complete, accurate, and auditable.
  • Create dashboards and analytical tools with Looker, Looker Studio, or similar platforms to monitor risk exposure, alerts, and investigation workflows.
  • Support regulatory and internal audits by maintaining traceability of data, methodologies, and controls.
