Ideal candidates should possess:3–7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or information management consulting. A solid understanding of data governance principles and frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) as well as industry best practices. Experience in formulating or executing data policies, standards, and stewardship models. Familiarity with metadata management, data cataloging, or data lineage tools (e.g., Alation, Informatica, Collibra, or similar). Exposure to data quality management processes and associated tools. Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels and translating governance concepts into tangible business outcomes. A collaborative spirit, comfortable working within multi-disciplinary teams that include strategy, engineering, and analytics.

This position is ideal for an individual who excels in both strategic guidance and hands-on execution, seamlessly transitioning from advising executives to collaborating with data teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive data governance frameworks, policies, and operational models that align with client objectives and industry best practices.
  • Establish clear documentation for data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across various business functions.
  • Perform maturity assessments and create actionable roadmaps to enhance governance capabilities.
  • Assist in the establishment of data quality management processes, including metrics and monitoring systems.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure governance initiatives are integrated with data platforms, metadata management, and cataloging tools such as Alation, Informatica, and Collibra.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions to foster adoption and cultural change regarding data ownership and literacy.
  • Work closely with client leadership to embed governance practices that enhance decision-making, regulatory compliance, and overall business performance.
