Role overview

The Data Processing Associate - Music Metadata Specialist focuses on transforming raw music metadata into structured information used for royalty payments and copyright management. This role supports networks, producers, performing rights organizations, and other entities involved in music copyright.

Main responsibilities

  • Enter and record music metadata from electronic sources into processing systems for royalty reporting
  • Verify processed data to meet accuracy standards
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in metadata input, including both routine and complex issues
  • Take part in quality assurance to address data-related problems
  • Complete priority tasks related to metadata processing
  • Support and guide other data processing team members as needed
  • Collaborate with management and peers to meet weekly and monthly deadlines
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors and team members
  • Assist with additional company projects when required

Requirements

  • GCE A/Ls or GCE O/L with a relevant certificate or diploma
  • Strong proofreading skills
  • Proficiency with Google Drive and email communication
  • Ability to use Google Sheets and Docs, plus solid internet research and basic computer skills
  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
