About the job

The Data & Systems Analyst is pivotal in enhancing decision-making processes across Horizon Recovery and its affiliated programs. This role entails the extraction, auditing, analysis, and reporting of data from various internal systems, such as Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, survey instruments, and outcome tracking platforms. You will deliver actionable insights that bolster clinical operations, admissions, and alumni initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate integration, updates, and customizations of software systems. Act as the main contact for any updates needed for forms, fields, or processes identified by the Horizon team, ensuring timely work orders or coordination with third parties to enhance our EMR and CRM.
  • Analyze data from diverse sources, including EMR, CRM, internal surveys, and post-treatment follow-up platforms.
  • Conduct regular audits of client records to verify the presence and completeness of all required, trackable data points, such as screenings, scores, authorizations, and outcome tools.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or missing data across systems or within client records.
  • Proactively liaise with relevant departments (e.g., clinical, admissions, medical) to address and rectify incomplete data, ensuring adherence to documentation standards.
  • Generate and sustain automated and ad-hoc reports for clinical, operational, and strategic decision-making.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for automating reports, tracking systems, and other data workflows to enhance efficiency and minimize manual workload.
  • Recommend and assist in the implementation of new tools, integrations, or process enhancements to optimize data reporting and collection.
  • Monitor and assess key outcome and operational metrics, including:

• Patient acuity and clinical screening scores.
• Authorization trends and average length of stay.
• Outcome comparisons from intake to discharge and subsequent follow-ups.
• Conversion rates of qualified leads from inquiry to admission.
• Reasons for lead loss or withdrawal during the admissions process.

  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and executive summaries to effectively communicate trends and insights.
  • Address data requests from leadership, delivering both recurring and custom analytical reports as needed.
  • Assist departments in interpreting data to pinpoint patterns, inefficiencies, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across systems through regular audits and validation processes.
  • Collaborate with IT or software vendors as necessary to enhance data capture and reporting capabilities.
