onhires represents a major American provider of vehicle protection programs and is now building its presence in Canada. The company seeks a Dealer Development Manager to help drive expansion and establish strong relationships with dealerships across Ontario.

Role overview

This position is designed for an experienced automotive sales professional who excels at building new business. The Dealer Development Manager will focus on bringing both independent and franchised dealerships into the network, aiming to position the company as a preferred partner in a competitive market.

What you will do

  • Dealer acquisition: Identify and secure new dealership accounts throughout Ontario, targeting 3-5 new signings each month.
  • Consultative selling: Work closely with Dealer Principals and F&I Managers to show how the company’s products can increase per-vehicle-retail (PVR) and support customer retention.
  • Training and implementation: Guide new partners through onboarding, delivering product training and sales coaching to dealership teams.
  • Market intelligence: Track the competitive landscape, spot new opportunities, and adjust tactics to increase market share.
  • Territory leadership: Serve as the main contact for dealers in your network, supporting claims processing and maintaining high satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Automotive Aftermarket, Warranty, or Finance (F&I) roles
  • Proven ability to generate leads and build business portfolios
  • Existing relationships with independent and franchise dealers in the GTA and/or Southwestern Ontario
  • Comfortable discussing dealership economics (P&L) and financial metrics with owners and finance managers
  • Willing to travel extensively (80-90%) to support dealer partnerships
