Fluent in both French and English; additional languages are a plus.

The Deputy Station Manager for Continental Paris Nord reports directly to the Station Manager. The team consists of Station Controllers, Platform Managers, and Ground Agents, totaling around twenty individuals.

The Deputy Station Manager performs duties as the Assistant Station Manager and also takes on responsibilities as Station Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the delegation of the Station Manager: Ensure safety and service standards are upheld by all agents, ensuring that professional skills and practices are executed according to required guidelines.
  • Represent the Station Manager in their absence to ensure continuity of core operations within the scope (oversight, work organization, coordination with service providers and Eurostar Continental contacts).
  • Engage in various level 1 meetings with our external partners (site committees, daily operations meetings, passenger information sessions, etc.).
  • Contribute to contract management by fostering a site committee dynamic with all contributors (SNCF, cleaning services, security, catering, etc.).
  • Assist in the development of operational guidelines and workshops aimed at standardizing practices among various Station Controllers and Platform Managers.
  • Support operational engagement and continuous improvement dynamics: 5-minute briefings, Visual Management, REX analysis, standardization, and formalization of processes.

Station Controller Responsibilities:

  • Monitor operational performance to ensure adherence to transport plans and quality service standards. Define operational boarding types for each departure to maintain optimal safety levels.
  • Lead daily briefings for agents, partners, and service providers.
  • Pre-define the schedules of each agent to efficiently accommodate transport plan changes.
  • Utilize the StartOnTime tool (Destinations, passenger count, PRM, groups, etc.) to streamline transport plan tracking for the platform team and service providers.
  • Receive and relay information from the Hub Officer (PNO supervision), OCC, SNCF Station Management, Landy, to keep Eurostar Continental teams and providers informed of transport plan changes.
