The Director of Human Resources will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the HR strategies that align with our mission and objectives within the People and Culture department in San Diego. This leadership position encompasses a range of responsibilities including:

  • Formulating and implementing strategic HR plans and policies covering recruitment, training, and compensation.
  • Designing organizational growth structures to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Developing and executing performance management and change management strategies.
  • Driving initiatives that promote equal opportunity and diversity within the workplace.
  • Managing labor and employee relations effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices in all HR processes.
  • Evaluating HR operations and policies for effectiveness.
  • Redesigning HR processes to optimize efficiency.
  • Cultivating partnerships within HR to strengthen relationships between management and employees.
  • Providing insights into workforce planning and succession management.
  • Offering proactive support and coaching to enhance HR objectives and organizational performance.
  • Coordinating responses to disciplinary and grievance inquiries.
  • Collaborating with management to clarify HR policies and legal regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Overseeing the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Leading negotiations with HR consultancy agencies, including benefits and insurance providers.
  • Managing HR department activities, including setting goals, objectives, and budget oversight.
  • Working in-office 2-3 days per week.
