Oscar Health is hiring a Director of Managed Business Services to lead the company’s global outsourcing strategy. This role shapes how Oscar manages outsourced contact centers, business processes, and configuration functions across multiple vendors and countries. The Director will design, implement, and oversee external operations to meet quality, compliance, cost, and customer experience standards.
This position reports to the SVP of Insurance Operations. The role is based in New York City and follows a hybrid schedule: three days per week in the office, with Thursdays reserved for team meetings and events. The other two in-office days can be selected to fit individual preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and develop frameworks to determine which business functions should be outsourced versus managed internally.
- Create and implement operational models that support scalability, reduce risk, and deliver on business initiatives in a matrixed organization.
- Lead business transformation by identifying trends and evolving the outsourcing model to focus on transformational outcomes.
- Align service provider strategies with Oscar’s long-term goals to maintain flexibility and support growth.
- Oversee the vendor selection process, including RFPs, vetting, and onboarding, in partnership with Procurement and operational leaders.
- Collaborate with Procurement to establish and manage Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs), tracking value and return on investment.
- Lead negotiations with internal and external executives to secure favorable commercial terms.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary for this position ranges from $163,944 to $215,176 per year. Oscar Health also offers comprehensive employee benefits, eligibility for equity grants, annual performance bonuses, and participation in an unlimited vacation program.
