Position Overview
We are in search of a seasoned finance leader to oversee the registration and ongoing financial management of our CFTC-registered Swap Dealer. This pivotal role involves coordinating the financial and operational aspects of the swap dealer registration process, including the development of regulatory capital frameworks, policies, procedures, and financial reporting systems.
The selected candidate will collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Treasury, and Technology teams to establish and uphold a robust financial control environment that complies with CFTC, NFA, and SEC regulations pertinent to registered Swap Dealers.
This position necessitates extensive knowledge of financial services regulations, regulatory capital, derivatives markets, and financial reporting within regulated organizations. Given our strategic emphasis on digital asset derivatives and crypto swaps, the role will also involve supporting the financial regulatory framework related to crypto-linked derivatives and corresponding market infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Swap Dealer Registration & Buildout
Lead and coordinate finance workstreams associated with the CFTC Swap Dealer registration process, including:
- Assisting in the design and implementation of the regulatory capital framework in line with applicable CFTC capital regulations (e.g., CFTC 23.101 / SEC 18a-1 where applicable).
- Helping to prepare financial policies, procedures, and internal controls necessary for registration.
- Collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Treasury, and Technology teams, as well as external advisors, to ensure operational readiness of the Swap Dealer entity.
- Supporting regulatory filings and documentation related to the Swap Dealer registration.
