Your Experience and Capabilities Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical work, EV systems, or a related client-facing position. Associate’s degree or certification in a relevant technical field. Journeyman’s license is preferred but not mandatory. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members.

InCharge Energy is on the lookout for a meticulous Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) Technician to elevate our service operations and play a critical role in our growth journey. These components strengthen our service division, making it a pivotal part of our growth strategy. As an EVCS Technician, you will be part of our service operations team, directly reporting to the Field Service Manager. This role offers an exciting chance to engage with state-of-the-art equipment and provide outstanding service, contributing significantly to our mission of facilitating the transition to electric vehicles. A company vehicle with GPS tracking for enhanced safety and accountability will be provided for work-related tasks.

What You’ll Do

  • Expertly diagnose and repair electrical charging infrastructure using advanced tools and techniques, from computer diagnostics to fundamental electrical repairs.
  • Keep detailed records of all repairs and installations, coordinating effectively with third-party vendors to guarantee flawless project execution.
  • Ensure timely completion of all services and projects, focusing on scope, budget, resource allocation, and client satisfaction.
  • Proactively present clients with additional service options, including service agreements, preventative maintenance plans, InControl monitoring software, and other revenue-generating solutions.
  • Generate warm leads for our sales team to explore opportunities for selling additional EV chargers and request referrals to broaden our customer base.
  • Provide and maintain your own basic hand tools necessary for working on EV chargers.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment while handling high voltage in various conditions.
  • Monitor charging infrastructure performance, delivering detailed progress reports and escalating issues to management as necessary.
  • Maintain exemplary professionalism on client sites and nurture strong relationships with third-party vendors.
  • Continue to enhance your expertise through ongoing training and certifications offered by InCharge Energy.
