As an Electrical Construction Superintendent at TEIC Services, you will take charge of all on-site operations for large-scale industrial and heavy-commercial electrical projects. Your responsibilities will encompass safety management, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and direct customer interaction. You will be accountable for the project's overall performance, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, budgetary constraints, quality standards, and timelines. This role also positions you as the primary contact for clients, reporting directly to an Area or Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Management: Enforce compliance with all company, client, OSHA, and NFPA 70E safety regulations. Lead daily safety meetings, conduct job-site audits, and manage incident investigations.
- Project Planning and Execution: Communicate and coordinate detailed work plans, manpower forecasts, and look-ahead schedules with project stakeholders. Allocate crew assignments and verify craft competency while leading crews and subcontractors to meet project requirements. Ensure timely procurement of tools, equipment, and materials, along with accurate documentation of daily reports, timesheets, and permits.
- Financial Oversight: Implement industry best practices to minimize rework, delays, and budget overruns. Monitor labor hours, material usage, and change orders to maintain control over project finances, collaborating with Project Managers and Operations for comprehensive financial reporting.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work complies with client specifications, industry standards, and internal quality benchmarks. Conduct inspections and enforce corrective actions as necessary, coordinating with QA/QC personnel for documentation and handover packages.
- Customer Engagement: Act as the main on-site liaison for customers, maintaining open lines of communication and addressing any issues or concerns promptly to enhance customer satisfaction through professionalism and responsiveness.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve project challenges, anticipating potential obstacles and taking corrective actions to maintain project momentum while escalating issues appropriately.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
- Frequent standing and walking (50-75%) with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs, along with bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
- Exposure to various site conditions, including extreme weather, noise, dust, and environmental hazards, with irregular and extended hours as needed.
