As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of cutting-edge renewable energy projects. Your expertise will guide the technical direction and support needed throughout the entire project lifecycle, from conception to operation.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and support in the development, construction, commissioning, and operation of renewable energy assets.
- Ensure projects adhere to high-quality engineering standards and design specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with customers, utilities, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs), and third-party consultants on complex engineering projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to inform project strategies and designs.
- Share your technical expertise across cross-functional teams throughout various project phases.
- Deliver design, modeling, and technical support from initial customer solution designs to successful project implementation and ongoing operations.
- Model and optimize engineering designs, review load flow and short circuit analysis, and create networking designs for site communication in compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Develop preliminary 1-line diagrams for projects in development to illustrate equipment sizing and interconnection topologies.
- Provide technical support to the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team for operational systems.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with a strong interest in power systems and renewable energy, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in power generation, particularly with medium voltage (MV) distribution systems.
- Solid understanding of electrical infrastructure, codes, and standards.
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), whether coupled with photovoltaic (PV) projects or standalone.
- Familiarity with interconnection application requirements across multiple Independent System Operators (ISOs).
- Adept at analyzing complex problems and developing effective solutions.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A commitment to lifelong learning and staying ahead in the ever-evolving renewable energy sector.
