RequirementsProficient in EMI analysis and simulation, particularly in power electronics and electric circuits. Strong experience in using circuit simulation tools such as MATLAB, PLECS, PSIM, and Ansys EM tools (Q3D, SIWave, HFSS, and Maxwell). In-depth understanding of various EMC testing equipment, including LISNs, antennas, BCI probes, EMI test receivers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, and impedance analyzers. Familiarity with regulatory standards including DO-160, MIL-461, CISPR 12/16/25/32, UN ECE Regulation 10, and FCC Part 15/18.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and test EMI filters for a variety of Archer products, including guidance on component selection, layout strategies, and grounding techniques.
  • Conduct comprehensive circuit and FEM simulations to assess emissions, susceptibility, ESD, and lightning strike resilience.
  • Provide expert EMC recommendations to electrical, power electronics, and mechanical engineering teams regarding PCB layout, cable shielding, and enclosure designs.
  • Collaborate closely with EMC test engineers to design, test, and certify Archer products in accordance with DO-160G and MIL-461G standards.
  • Engage with EMC test laboratories for compliance testing of Archer products at the aircraft level and for DO-160/MIL-461G.
