About the job

Revolution Medicines seeks an Executive Director, Head of Contracting, based in Redwood City, California. This senior legal leader reports to the Deputy General Counsel and oversees a contracts team of five attorneys and four contract managers. The position shapes the company’s global contracting approach and works closely with regional leaders to support business growth.

Role overview

This role leads the cross-functional Contracts Management Committee and drives the development and execution of contracting strategies. The Executive Director is responsible for strengthening legal operations, implementing region- and department-specific policies, and ensuring effective contract management processes across the organization.

What you will do

  • Develop and manage Revolution Medicines’ global contracting strategy, overseeing all phases from initiation to execution.
  • Implement and monitor contracting policies and procedures tailored to specific regions and departments.
  • Mentor, develop, and manage the legal contracts team.
  • Act as the main escalation point for contract-related issues raised by internal clients and company leadership.
  • Lead the Contracts Management Committee, including evaluating and adopting contract management technologies and tools to improve workflow, archiving, and efficiency (including AI solutions).
  • Support the legal department’s strategic planning, project management, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including clinical trial agreements, CRO agreements, supply agreements, NDAs, consulting agreements, master services agreements, statements of work, sponsored research agreements, and MTAs.
