Join Orchard as a dedicated Escrow Officer, where you will oversee the closing process and ensure an outstanding experience for our clients. We are seeking an experienced real estate professional with proven expertise in managing 1-4 family residential purchase transactions. This full-time position reports directly to the Texas Escrow Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare closing disclosures, escrow agreements, and all necessary settlement documents in accordance with lender and buyer/seller specifications.
- Facilitate clear communication and collaboration with cross-departmental colleagues in Customer Experience/Sales, Contract Operations, and Funding to swiftly address and resolve any issues that may arise during the Title process to prevent delays.
- Ensure clear title by ordering title reports, rectifying title defects, and addressing any existing liens or encumbrances against the property or principals.
- Conduct thorough audits of all files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance to mitigate potential claims.
- Coordinate closings utilizing e-notary or mobile notary services.
- Manage the receipt and appropriate disbursement of funds, ensuring compliance with lender closing instructions and the proper handling of outstanding checks and escrowed funds.
- Adhere to Orchard Title's policies and procedures in compliance with local laws, regulations, and company standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Escrow Officer.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to foster positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Ability to navigate complex processes while understanding your role within a broader operational framework.
- Proficient in technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace, as well as specialized software (e.g., Qualia).
- Solid understanding of Texas state-level escrow regulations and laws.
