As an AI-native company, artificial intelligence drives our innovation and development.Role OverviewAs a Product Design Engineer, you will be pivotal in our in-house design process, encompassing mechanical and industrial design, electronics, embedded software, and IoT. Although we manufacture through contract manufacturers, your designs will evolve into thousands of physical products that enhance hydration experiences in offices and hotels across Europe.This is a hands-on role that offers significant ownership. You will tackle complex design challenges independently, contribute to cross-functional project decisions, and deliver tangible results that propel active product initiatives forward. You will report directly to the VP of Engineering.ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end design execution: Oversee the entire design process from concept development to detailed design, prototyping, and production release documentation.Aesthetic considerations: Ensure that design intent translates into manufacturable outputs, addressing challenges like parting lines and sink marks in CAD.Manufacturing knowledge: Apply principles of DFM, DFA, DFS, and DFC in your designs, with expertise in injection molding, CNC machining, and other processes.Engineering validation: Conduct calculations, FEA, DFMEA, and test-to-fail methodologies to validate your designs.Technical documentation: Create detailed GD&T drawings that effectively communicate with tooling suppliers and assembly partners.Rapid prototyping: Utilize techniques such as 3D printing and CNC to expedite learning and development.Candidate ProfileWe are looking for a proactive and innovative Product Design Engineer who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, eager to contribute to our mission of transforming hydration.
