Join our dynamic team as an Inventory Planner, where your expertise will play a crucial role in managing demand and planning inventory for specific product lines. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that we meet customer needs with an adequate supply of products while minimizing investment in working inventory through precise demand assessment. You will update our planning systems to reflect demand changes, ensuring high accuracy in forecasting and maintaining inventory records.**This is a 6-month contract position**Key Responsibilities:Develop comprehensive inventory management plans to support daily operations, product launches, and promotional events.Generate purchase orders for suppliers within the predefined category budget.Engage consistently with sales teams to assess demand requirements and adjust SKU level forecasts accordingly.Conduct financial risk assessments for potential purchases to mitigate potential losses.Assist the retail store network with all inventory-related inquiries.Perform root cause analyses as necessary to address inventory issues.Identify existing and potential product shortages, devise recovery strategies, and communicate status updates to relevant stakeholders.Maintain and regularly update master files, including items, vendors, and pricing information.Coordinate SKU-level unit forecasts in alignment with product category revenue expectations.Achieve consensus on operational plans and inventory objectives.Generate reports and provide necessary information to the product manager as required.Establish systems and procedures to meet service and inventory turnover goals.Build and nurture relationships with suppliers.Support the product manager in executing promotional activities across above-the-line (ATL) and below-the-line (BTL) marketing.Maintain store merchandising planograms effectively.Assist in creating new merchandising materials (POS) in collaboration with the category development team.Perform additional duties as assigned.
