Role overview
The Civil CADD Designer (OpenRoads Modeler) joins the Civil Graphics team in a hybrid capacity based in Austin, TX, with additional locations available. This role centers on producing civil layouts, grading, utility, road, and plan & profile sheets using Bentley OpenRoads software. The designer creates and revises detailed drawing sheets to meet both company and client quality standards, and may take on responsibilities as a design task lead or drafting lead for multidisciplinary projects.
What you will do
- Produce and update civil engineering drawings and documentation using OpenRoads software
- Prepare grading, utility, road, and plan & profile sheets
- Ensure all drawing sheets meet company and client quality control requirements
- Participate as a design task lead or team member within the Civil Graphics group
- Occasionally serve as drafting or task lead for projects beyond the immediate team
- Work closely with project teams to deliver accurate construction documents
- Manage complex design workflows and maintain industry standards compliance
Requirements
- Advanced skill with Bentley OpenRoads
- Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure projects
- Strong technical background in civil design and documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
