Become a Fundraising Intern at Street Child Switzerland in Beautiful Barcelona!

Exciting Internship Opportunity
We are currently looking for a dedicated Swiss intern to join our Barcelona office on a full-time basis (33 hours/week) for a preferred duration of 6 months, with the flexibility to discuss shorter commitments. At Street Child, we value diversity and are eager to tailor responsibilities to suit the unique strengths and abilities of each intern.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Swiss intern, you will collaborate closely with a small team under the guidance of the Street Child EU Development Manager, reporting directly to the Swiss Country Manager.
Your primary responsibilities will encompass:
60% of your time
1. Fundraising Research:
- Uncover new funding prospects, including trusts, foundations, and major donors within Switzerland.
- Engage with potential donors to establish and nurture relationships.
- Analyze the Swiss fundraising landscape to identify new opportunities.
2. Proposal Writing for Foundations:
- Create persuasive funding proposals for trusts and foundations, leveraging your knowledge of Street Child's projects.
- Work closely with the program team to compile necessary information and data for proposals.
- Ensure alignment of proposals with the priorities and guidelines set by Swiss donors.
40% of your time
3. Communications:
- Oversee social media channels and update our website.
- Promote local and international events, the international volunteering program, and email campaigns.
- Translate content between English, German, and French to broaden our outreach.
- Assist in planning and developing new events to engage the Swiss community.
4. Business Development:
- Establish and manage collaborations with other organizations and companies in Switzerland.
- Identify potential synergies for joint initiatives.
- Represent Street Child at relevant events and conferences.
