The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Billericay, Essex. As part of the creative team, the Senior Designer will design and deliver collections that meet customer needs and help move the commercial fashion market forward. What you will do Lead and manage the design team, working with colleagues across the Group to achieve key performance indicators and foster a positive, high-performing environment. Support the Head of Design or Design Manager by implementing company and brand strategies, ensuring brand positioning is clear and customer profiles are current. Conduct regular competitive retail analysis and reporting. Deliver the financial plan for the brand(s), maintaining budgets and cost controls while meeting sample targets. Monitor trading across the brand(s), using sales data to identify new opportunities and maximize revenue and profitability each season. Respond quickly to market gaps and trends, delivering innovative products on schedule. Source and develop new products, including travel for inspiration, to create collections that attract customers. Build and maintain strong knowledge of customer preferences. Ensure collections align with customer profiles and brand identities, balancing trend-forward design with commercial appeal. Oversee range development for the brand(s), produce specifications using design software, and create high-quality handmade samples. Address design specification questions with careful attention to detail to ensure accuracy from the outset. Train and mentor junior team members, sharing expertise and supporting their professional growth.
