AECOM is actively searching for a skilled Surveyor/Survey Technologist to enhance our Transportation division at the Calgary office. This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage in large-scale, intricate transportation projects throughout Central and Southern Alberta and the surrounding provinces and territories.This position entails significant travel, with a high probability of working outside the Calgary area. Depending on project locations, candidates may need to commute daily or stay in hotel accommodations for extended durations.Key Responsibilities:Setup and operation of advanced survey equipment including Total Station, RTK-GPS, and 3D laser scanners.Establish control points.Conduct topographic surveys, data collection, and processing.Perform construction staking and field measurements.Execute volume calculations.Manage file/data transfers (import and export).Maintain and calibrate survey equipment.Interpret engineering drawings and specifications pertinent to survey work.Support construction teams by producing grade files, checking grades, conducting QA/QC, and generating construction quantities.Estimate survey scope for proposal submissions.

You will also mentor junior technologists in reading and interpreting prints, Risk Management, and best industry practices. Additionally, you will oversee the setup and operation of standard and specialized test equipment to evaluate the performance of power delivery systems on the job site.
