If you are a talented and self-motivated Generator Technician ready to advance your career in a dynamic and fast-paced Telecom environment, Pearce has the perfect opportunity for you! Our Generator Technicians are responsible for servicing and repairing commercial generators located on cell phone towers within your region. This position is ideal for independent individuals who are open to travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain generators, troubleshoot and repair issues, install and replace components or entire systems, and conduct maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment.
- Perform routine performance checks and maintenance on generators to ensure optimal readiness, interpreting and adhering to blueprints or other design specifications for installation or repairs.
- Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and other components, and conduct tests to ensure proper operation.
- Promptly respond to generator alarms; availability for on-call duties 24/7 when necessary, ensuring timely responses to calls and emails.
- Work safely by being aware of potential hazards associated with the installation and maintenance of power supply equipment, switching gear, and other machinery, including risks such as falls, electric shock, falling objects, and traffic; utilize safety equipment and adhere to safety practices; attend and participate in all designated safety and training meetings.
