JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Field Service Engineer specializing in Rotary Uninterruptible Power Supply (RUPS) Systems will take the lead in the development of rotary UPS power system distributions, mechanical and generator integrations, system startups, and preventive maintenance strategies. Candidates must possess advanced technical skills, mechanical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and hands-on experience with electrical control systems and rotating equipment, such as generators and flywheels. A strong ability to troubleshoot and a dedication to providing high-performance power solutions in environments like data centers, hospitals, and industrial facilities is crucial.
This position transcends traditional UPS engineering roles; prior experience with static UPS systems may not be beneficial. We seek candidates with substantial experience in mechanical systems, generators, and rotary equipment, who are adept at commissioning complex power systems in field settings. As the frontline expert, you will be responsible for launching large-scale RUPS systems, resolving technical challenges, and offering training to others. This role includes providing on-site technical support to our customers across North America for start-ups, retrofits, and maintenance, while collaborating closely with various IEM teams to integrate both current and innovative technologies, commission intricate generator and RUPS systems, and optimize existing power infrastructures to ensure smooth operations as specified by the customer's RUPS design and sequence of operations (SOO). You will serve as the primary contact for all field service personnel related to RUPS startup, generator assistance, preventive maintenance, 24-hour emergency responses, and remote technical support.
