In this pivotal role, you'll be charged with redefining our localization program into a robust strategic framework, ensuring our products, content, and user experiences are expertly tailored and culturally resonant for our diverse international audience. You will oversee multiple product and program roadmaps autonomously, collaborating intimately with product, engineering, and UX teams to formulate and execute localization strategies, streamline workflows, and uphold superior quality across all Turnitin offerings. Your expertise will significantly influence the user experience for millions around the world, allowing them to interact with our products in a way that feels authentically local.Key Responsibilities:Localization Program Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement Turnitin's comprehensive localization strategy aligned with our company goals, establishing performance metrics, tracking progress for leadership, and formulating best practices for scaling localization efforts. Manage project cycles, define processes, coordinate stakeholders, and oversee workflows from initiation to launch, all while minimizing risks and challenges.Global User Experience & Quality: Champion the needs of global users by ensuring diverse perspectives are integrated into our program outcomes. Set and maintain high standards for localization quality, linguistic validation, and bug resolution.Language Asset Governance: Maintain and update documentation related to product or program developments. Develop and expand key resources, including glossaries, style guides, and AI-ready datasets to ensure consistent and inclusive brand experiences.Operational & Vendor Management: Proactively identify and address operational gaps within products or programs. Oversee vendor assessments, ensure precise budget tracking, and manage the quality of third-party localization vendors.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including technology, marketing, and UX to facilitate data-driven changes that enhance our processes.Process Improvement: Act as a change agent focused on consultation regarding process enhancements and continuous improvement, refining workflows from initiation to post-launch.
