FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN – Level 1, 2 or 3
Position Overview:
As a Field Service Technician, you will participate in a comprehensive training program on our specialized equipment and commissioning process in Ashburn, VA for about four weeks. Your primary responsibilities will include hands-on field service operations at customer sites, focusing on the installation of components and subassemblies, as well as basic commissioning of IEM equipment, primarily in data center or industrial applications. Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in project meetings as necessary, coordinating effectively with contractors and clients.
- Installing and modifying electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies, such as panelboard interiors, circuit breakers, bus bars, switchgear section doors and subpanels, control components, and power cabling with control wiring.
- Conducting basic testing of modified assemblies, including visual inspections and ductor tests.
- Carrying out basic commissioning of switchboards, control panels, and power products.
- Troubleshooting electrical circuits and networking equipment.
- Collaborating with the Technical Project Manager or manufacturing facilities to resolve product or commissioning issues identified by IEM or reported by customers, and determining any additional field resources required for installation and replacement parts.
- Executing preventive maintenance, field installations, and modifications of existing equipment.
- Providing technical product support.
