Located in Emeryville and Santa Clara, California, we are looking for driven individuals to join our team.About The Role:We are in search of a meticulous and skilled Manufacturing Quality Inspector to enhance our production team in Emeryville. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring product integrity, spearheading continuous improvement initiatives, and refining our inspection processes. You will be responsible for addressing backlog challenges and implementing deviation procedures to guarantee that our products consistently meet Atomic Machines’ stringent quality standards. Your focus will not only be on identifying issues but also on driving effective solutions that yield measurable improvements.What You’ll Do:Perform in-process, first article, and final inspections on precision electro-mechanical devices.Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional testing in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and product specifications.Accurately document, analyze, and report on inspection and testing data; maintain comprehensive quality records as per company protocols.Ensure that materials and components comply with established requirements.Identify and report any nonconformances; assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures.Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, production, and automation teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related issues, particularly with semi-automated systems.Utilize precision measurement instruments and testing equipment to uphold quality standards.

Our offices are strategically located in Emeryville and Santa Clara, California.About The Role:We are on the lookout for a meticulous and experienced Quality Inspector to enhance our manufacturing team. In this pivotal role, you will champion product integrity and spearhead continuous improvements in our production processes. Your responsibilities will include refining our inspection practices, addressing backlog challenges, and implementing deviation procedures to guarantee that every product meets Atomic Machines' stringent quality standards. You will not only identify issues but also lead initiatives that drive impactful solutions and improvements.This position is based in Emeryville and is offered as a 1099 independent contractor role for a duration of 6-12 months, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.What You’ll Do:Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials promptly, including raw materials and components.Enhance and uphold IQC practices/procedures to align with company objectives.Understand and adhere to inspection work instructions effectively.Utilize precision measuring tools such as automated laser measurement systems, CMMs, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and vision systems.Review, refine, and provide recommendations on Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
