The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of production equipment and machinery utilized in the manufacturing of medical devices. This position is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with quality and safety standards to facilitate uninterrupted production. The technician will engage in a variety of skilled mechanical and preventative maintenance tasks, conduct inspections, and manage repairs of equipment within the molding and assembly sectors of our manufacturing facility. Additionally, this role may involve providing expertise in HVAC operations and maintenance.Key Responsibilities:Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery to minimize operational downtime.Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues with prompt repairs.Calibrate and adjust machinery to ensure adherence to production and quality standards.Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams for equipment improvements and upgrades.Maintain thorough maintenance logs and service records, reporting any equipment failures.Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and safety regulations during maintenance activities.Assist in the installation, validation, and qualification of new equipment.Quickly respond to breakdowns in production equipment to minimize disruptions.Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to boost equipment reliability and productivity.Utilize knowledge of local Building Codes to identify and report any issues to management.Inspect and assess the condition of various building systems, including AC, cooling water chiller, compressed air, and electrical installations.Oversee and manage building management control systems.Read and interpret technical documents, electrical schematics, and fluid prints.Coordinate with external vendors to ensure services meet medmix standards.Document maintenance work to provide an accurate history of repairs and preventive maintenance.Initiate improvements to existing maintenance systems.Support EHS programs and monitor hazardous waste compliance.
