Join our team as a Health Unit Coordinator in the Delnor Cardiac/Telemetry Unit, where your contributions will ensure exemplary patient care. This full-time evening position requires working five 8-hour shifts per week from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, including every other weekend and rotating holidays.
The Health Unit Coordinator embodies the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine (NM). You will adhere to our Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program while complying with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
In this role, you will handle unit-based reception, clerical tasks, medical record management, and patient registration functions. Your ability to prioritize effectively while managing emergency situations calmly will be essential. As a customer-oriented professional, you will communicate adeptly with staff, patients, and families, serving as a vital link between patient care units and related departments. You will manage overall unit workflow in collaboration with the charge RN and/or assistant manager.
