Weekday is hiring a Senior Manager - Contracts & Corporate Affairs for the Legal Department of a key client in Gurugram, Haryana. This position calls for an experienced legal professional with a strong background in corporate law, contract management, and complex transactions. The role involves shaping and executing contracts, supporting major business initiatives, and ensuring legal compliance across operations.
Compensation
Salary range: ₹ 1,100,000 - ₹ 2,300,000 (INR 11–23 LPA)
Main Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, such as service agreements, manpower contracts, O&M agreements, SLAs, MoUs, and related documents.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, focusing on compliance, accuracy, and risk mitigation.
- Assist with corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, collaborations, and shareholder arrangements.
- Conduct legal due diligence, prepare transaction checklists, and coordinate with external legal counsel.
- Support banking documentation, including loan agreements, sanction letters, and escrow arrangements.
- Advise on legal matters related to software licensing, AI agreements, real estate, employment, POSH compliance, CSR, and related party transactions.
- Collaborate closely with senior management and business leaders to understand needs and provide legal input.
- Ensure adherence to corporate laws, company regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Identify legal risks and recommend practical, business-focused solutions.
Who We’re Looking For
- 5-year integrated law degree (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution.
- 8–15 years of experience in corporate law, company law, and commercial legal functions.
- 3–5 years of mandatory law firm experience handling complex legal transactions.
- Strong skills in contract drafting, negotiation, and agreement management.
- Demonstrated experience in mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate transactions.
- Solid understanding of intellectual property rights and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to independently manage multiple high-stakes legal matters with attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
