This role involves the commissioning, routine maintenance, and repair of our internal injection molding, die-casting, and stamping tools. The right candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate production and maintenance operations, ensuring our team achieves its goals through exceptional tool and die expertise.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on molds used for plastic injection and die casting across various sizes.Oversee the safe and efficient disassembly and assembly of molds.Repair or fabricate cores, cavities, and other essential components.Conduct hand repairs on part details, parting lines, lifters, slides, polished cavities, textures, venting, and spotting.Assist production and maintenance teams with troubleshooting and problem-solving.Create and maintain comprehensive lists of mold spare parts.Identify and implement proactive strategies to consistently reduce manufacturing defects and enhance productivity.Collaborate with design engineering to assess the feasibility and implementation of tooling changes for part modifications.Support process engineering efforts aimed at reducing scrap, cycle times, and downtime.
