About the Team
You will collaborate closely with the iOS team, backend and platform engineers, autonomy and R&D teams, and QA and support engineers. The mobile team is responsible for the software that operates on-site in customer warehouses, where reliability and accuracy directly influence live operations. This is a high-responsibility role with real-world implications.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to join our mobile team and take charge of vital features and workflows within Gather AI’s iOS applications (Modal and DJI variants). You will work on mission execution, offline-first synchronization architectures, and enhancing reliability for production apps operating in challenging warehouse conditions.
This role is ideal for a proficient iOS engineer who desires technical depth beyond standard CRUD mobile development, engaging with hardware-integrated systems, intricate state management, and cross-functional teams pushing the limits of autonomous drone technology.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of significant features or workflows end-to-end, including mission lifecycle, upload pipelines, and offline-first synchronization, prioritizing reliability and accuracy in live deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex iOS issues related to state management, networking, concurrency, and hardware integration across the Modal and DJI app variants.
- Enhance app stability, performance, and logging quality to minimize iOS-side bugs during mission execution and in edge cases.
- Work collaboratively with backend, autonomy, and QA teams to deliver well-integrated, production-ready features.
- Contribute to iOS architecture decisions, coding standards, and mobile best practices across the team.
