As the General Manager (GM) of Miss J’s Café, you will take the lead in managing the daily operations of our vibrant café. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our establishment runs smoothly and efficiently, creating a welcoming and productive atmosphere for both our staff and customers. You will play a pivotal role in steering the success of the business by overseeing staff management, inventory control, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Inspire, train, and motivate our dedicated team, including chefs, servers, and support staff.
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative workplace culture to enhance morale and productivity.
- Manage staff scheduling and supervision to ensure optimal coverage.
- Oversee the hiring, onboarding, and continuous development of staff to maintain high service standards.
- Operations Management:
- Supervise daily operations to guarantee compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Ensure consistent product quality and attractive presentation.
- Maintain exceptional customer service levels and foster positive guest experiences.
- Manage inventory and ordering processes to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service delivery.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor costs, including labor and food expenses, to uphold profitability.
- Develop and manage the café’s budget and financial objectives.
- Analyze financial reports to inform strategic decision-making.
- Assist with pricing strategies and promotional activities to boost revenue.
- Customer Experience:
- Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Encourage customer loyalty through outstanding service and a welcoming environment.
- Engage with patrons to gather insights and continuously enhance the café’s offerings.
- Marketing & Promotion:
- Collaborate on marketing strategies to enhance business growth and attract more customers.
- Organize and participate in events and promotions to increase visibility and sales.
- Manage social media accounts and online presence, responding to reviews and engaging with the community.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, particularly food safety standards.
- Supervise the handling of food and beverage items to maintain a safe environment for all.
- Oversee health, safety, and sanitation protocols.
