Join our Engineering Product Quality team at Bosch Home Comfort as a Mid-Level Embedded Software Testing Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for testing embedded systems, preparing and managing hardware setups, and ensuring product quality through rigorous validation and verification processes.
Your Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts for embedded software.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing to ensure optimal performance.
• Debug and analyze issues within embedded systems while collaborating closely with developers to facilitate prompt resolutions.
• Utilize your knowledge of electronic components, microprocessors, and PCBA characteristics in your testing processes.
• Set up, configure, and maintain hardware test benches and setups, including boards and modules.
• Operate diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters to identify issues.
• Interface with microcontrollers, sensors, and communication protocols (Modbus, UART, SPI, I2C, etc.).
• Employ strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve defects.
• Manage test strategies for embedded software and firmware, including functional, non-functional, integration, regression, and white-box testing.
• Facilitate defect logging, reporting, verification, and validation processes.
• Prepare detailed test plans, matrices, and execution reports.
What We Seek:
Required:
5–6 years of experience in System Integration Testing (SIT) for new product development.
A solid background in IoT, embedded software, and firmware testing.
Proven experience in large-scale embedded project validation and testing.
Comprehensive understanding of microprocessors and their peripherals.
Preferred:
Active contribution to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and automation frameworks.
Demonstrated experience in product development and testing management, with a capacity to lead and drive project execution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across both technical and non-technical teams.
Knowledge and experience with embedded hardware, particularly in refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
