Mission Brief As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of the control systems at the Isar rocket engine test facility located near Kiruna, Sweden. Your role will encompass both the software and hardware components of the control systems, demanding a high level of technical expertise and collaboration with the Isar Munich control systems team on current and future projects. In this position, you will actively participate in daily test operations, closely working with Propulsion Test Engineers to ensure the facility runs smoothly. A strong rapport with fellow test engineers will be essential as you develop a comprehensive understanding of the facility's systems and operational requirements.

Mission Overview As a pivotal member of the team, the Controls & Automation Technician is tasked with the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of Isar Aerospace’s cutting-edge engine test facility situated in the breathtaking Esrange of the Swedish Arctic. This role involves overseeing the electrical systems of the test facility, which includes schematic design, construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting operations. Your Role in Our Space Mission: Wire and commission the electrical and pneumatic components of automated control systems, including sensors, actuators, and control panels. Execute basic upgrades and troubleshooting on the facility’s PLC system. Prepare engines and associated subsystems for development and flight testing. Oversee and maintain relevant tools and equipment. Conduct maintenance on the electrical systems of the facility, while developing and updating the maintenance plan. Evaluate and mitigate safety risks associated with electrical systems. Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives to create an efficient and organized workspace for the team. Support operations as needed, which may include performing manual tasks on pressurized and cryogenic systems.

You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of our cutting-edge engine test facility located in the stunning Swedish Arctic at Esrange. This role requires expertise in managing the electrical systems of the facility, which includes maintenance, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting tasks.Your Role in Our Space Mission:Upgrade and enhance the electrical systems of the test facility.Install, wire, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including analog and digital sensors, actuators, control panels, and cabinets (230/400VAC and 24VDC).Prepare test articles and related subsystems for rigorous testing.Maintain the facility's electrical systems while ensuring documentation is up to date.Support testing operations as necessary, including performing manual operations on pressurized and cryogenic systems.
