Your contributions will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our distributed intelligence system for Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and pick-assist robots. At rapyuta robotics, we are on the lookout for a dedicated and innovative Robotics Software Engineer specializing in Navigation to enhance our robotics team, concentrating on wheeled mobile platforms. This position is perfect for engineers who are enthusiastic about autonomous navigation and are driven to advance the frontiers of robotic mobility. In this role, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including perception, control, hardware, and software engineers—to design, implement, and refine navigation systems for real-world applications. Your effective communication skills, knowledge sharing, and contribution to a vibrant development environment will be pivotal to your success.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain navigation stacks utilizing ROS (Robot Operating System), including ROS Navigation Stack and bespoke solutions.Implement and enhance path planning algorithms, such as Hybrid A*, for dynamic environments.Containerize and manage development environments using Docker for scalable deployment.Coordinate with perception, localization, and control teams to ensure the smooth integration of navigation modules.Conduct simulations and real-world testing of navigation systems.Stay informed about the latest research, tools, and trends in robotic navigation and proactively suggest new technologies and methodologies.Document system architecture, design decisions, and performance evaluations.
