The Electrical Inspector plays a crucial role in overseeing and validating electrical installations across various building and infrastructure projects. This position ensures adherence to approved designs, project specifications, and applicable electrical codes. Focusing on quality assurance, site inspections, safety protocols, and collaboration with project stakeholders, the Electrical Inspector contributes to the successful and timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections of electrical systems including installations for buildings and infrastructure, grounding, lighting, power distribution, and equipment setup.
- Ensure compliance of all electrical work with project specifications, IFC drawings, and relevant standards.
- Review and validate electrical shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions.
- Prepare inspection requests, reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and track corrective actions.
- Witness and document testing and commissioning activities for compliance.
- Identify and report deviations, unsafe practices, or quality concerns.
- Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and project management teams to address technical challenges.
- Assist in project close-out processes, including snagging, final inspections, and documentation handover.
