Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure the Infrastructure Unit aligns with IT strategy.Oversee and manage virtual infrastructure performance.Optimize computing resources including hosts, virtual machines, and storage solutions.Perform onsite virtual machine backup and recovery operations.Apply OEM-recommended updates to maintain compliance and security across the virtual infrastructure.Manage storage infrastructure including SAN fabric.Work with HP Storage and expansions, EMC VNX Unified storage, NetApp FAS, and IBM Storage.Administer and monitor Disaster Recovery site resources to ensure business continuity.Act as a key resource in the Disaster Recovery process.Ensure replication of business-critical servers meets acceptable RPO & RTO standards, providing daily reports on replication and link status.Conduct business continuity testing in compliance with IT policies.Provide daily administrative support for on-premise exchange servers, databases, and mailbox archiving as per IT policy.Manage, monitor, and optimize network performance.Engage in preventive maintenance for servers and workstations.Ensure the availability, reliability, and optimal operation of all physical servers.Verify that all hardware is under support and warranty coverage.Establish redundancy within the system to prevent service failures.Analyze server infrastructure and prepare maintenance strategies.Manage infrastructure at remote branch offices.Source and procure hardware, replacement parts, and consumables.Serve as the primary contact for suppliers, vendors, and service providers.Conduct evaluations of upgraded or new hardware and software, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and potential benefits, and recommend purchases.Manage vendor relationships, review contracts, and enforce policies.Maintain the Information Technology CMDB and coordinate equipment distribution.Oversee Data Center Management and environmental monitoring, ensuring compliance with approved standards.Enforce proper onboarding of equipment and approved security policies.Handle general Data Center infrastructure management, including racking, cabling, and daily organizational practices.
