Key ResponsibilitiesRoyalty System Optimization & DeliveryTake ownership of and deliver a comprehensive optimization roadmap for the WestEnd system, focusing on enhancing process efficiency, data integrity, automation, and user experience.Lead the requirements gathering process across various teams including Partnership Finance, Royalties, FP&A, Controllership, and Legal Operations, ensuring complete understanding of end-to-end workflows prior to implementing system changes.Translate business requirements into precise functional specifications for the WestEnd vendor and relevant technical partners.Oversee the full cycle of system enhancement delivery: scoping, prioritization, development, testing, deployment, and post-release validation.Engage actively in the technical delivery and take responsibility for operational tasks to ensure timely completion of deliverables.Key workstreams involve credit control functionalities, delinquency management, subagent accounting, forecasting automation, SKU setup automation, and reporting enhancements.Vendor & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary contact for the WestEnd vendor, coordinating enhancements, resolving issues, and ensuring continuous delivery momentum.Critically evaluate vendor proposals to ensure that solutions address root causes rather than superficial symptoms.Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with internal users, ensuring all changes are robust, comprehended, and effectively adopted.Maintain strong communication with senior stakeholders, offering regular progress updates, managing risks, and tracking dependencies.Collaborate with the Corporate Royalties team and the Director of Finance Digital Transformation (who leads parallel ERP and data architecture projects).Licensing & Royalties Process ExpertiseUtilize extensive knowledge of the licensing royalty lifecycle, encompassing:Deal structures (minimum guarantees, overages, royalty rates, advances, participation, recoupment)Contract execution and setupRoyalty reporting and validationBilling, cash application, and reporting to licensorsEnsure that system changes accommodate real-world licensing complexities, such as multi-territory agreements, sub-agent arrangements, and nuanced forecasting and reporting.Integration & Broader Systems AlignmentWork collaboratively with CRM, finance, and data teams to ensure that WestEnd enhancements align with both upstream and downstream systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, reporting tools).Support dependency management with concurrent initiatives impacting licensing and finance processes.
