The RoleThe Legal Technology Advisor (LTA) is a dynamic and strategic delivery expert, driven by a passion for digital transformation and the innovative application of Artificial Intelligence. Operating at the intersection of law and technology across One Europe, the LTA is embedded within designated Global Business Units (GBUs) throughout the region. This role involves close collaboration with deal teams and litigation teams to implement technology solutions in real-time, configuring tools during active matters to ensure seamless delivery. By serving as the vital link between client needs and Clifford Chance’s technological capabilities, the LTA scopes, advises on, and deploys technology-enabled solutions that bolster efficiency, mitigate risk, and enhance revenue growth across European jurisdictions. This position champions the adoption of the firm’s legal technology toolkit, delivering solutions at the speed of client demands, and channels market and frontline insights to Product Management and Legal Technology Advisory leadership, thereby influencing the firm’s innovation pipeline.Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery and CollaborationServe as the primary contact for matter teams within the assigned GBU seeking technology-enabled solutions; evaluate requirements, define scope, and recommend suitable tools and methodologies.Design and implement technology-assisted workflows for active matters (e.g., document/contract review and analysis, due diligence, document automation, transaction management, litigation/eDiscovery, collaboration and workflow tools), ensuring high-quality, compliant execution.Configure, integrate, and optimize existing solutions to align with matter requirements; document functional requirements and enhancement requests; collaborate with Product Management, IT, and vendors on pilots and deployments.Identify and nurture power users of key legal technology solutions to enhance delivery capabilities across the GBU.Maintain comprehensive documentation for solution configurations, matter playbooks, and client engagement materials; share insights and lessons learned through the Legal Technology Advisory Community of Practice.Client and Business EngagementDevelop robust relationships with partners and associates, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering solutions that meet client needs promptly.Prepare and present customized client-facing demonstrations, proofs of concept, and proposals that highlight value, differentiation, and time-to-value.Assist in pricing and scoping technology components for pitches, proposals, and panel submissions, collaborating with partners and commercial teams.Coordinate with relevant business stakeholders to integrate legal technology into delivery and client strategies.Strategic Insight and Market AwarenessStay informed on legal market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to provide strategic insights.
