Aubay is looking for a UNIX Application System Engineer to join the team in Luxembourg Ville. This position supports a major banking client, working closely with other UNIX specialists to keep critical systems running smoothly. What you will manage 470 Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers (versions 7, 8, and 9), with 95% virtualized, hosting essential applications for users Power servers running AIX 7 with PowerVM/VIO (NPIV, SEA), managing about 100 partitions under NIM, supporting applications and databases such as Oracle, Websphere Application Server, and Swift OpenShift clusters that host critical applications Open storage arrays (Windows/Linux) Commvault backup infrastructure, including both software and hardware Key responsibilities Participate in banking projects, focusing on installing and implementing both web-based and non-web-based banking applications, as well as handling version and platform migrations Carry out system administration tasks such as filesystem expansion, OS patching, upgrades on AIX and RHEL, application upgrades, and third-party tool installations Develop scripts, implement backup solutions, configure Nagios monitoring, and perform daily system maintenance Maintain system security and support banking or middleware applications Skills and experience Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and AIX administration Familiarity with OpenShift clusters and virtualization technologies Knowledge of backup solutions, especially Commvault Ability to script and automate routine tasks Understanding of monitoring tools such as Nagios
