Join us as an intern and dive into the exciting world of embedded systems! You will investigate the viability of implementing Flutter on i. MX6 and i. MX8 embedded Linux platforms equipped with hardware acceleration. This role aims to unlock the potential for modern user interfaces on embedded devices with limited resources by merging Flutter with various Linux graphics stacks. You will be at the forefront of technology, bridging embedded systems, graphic pipelines, and contemporary UI frameworks where conventional solutions are scarce.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Configuring and setting up embedded Linux environments for i. MX6 and i. MX8 platforms.
- Integrating and assessing various graphics stacks such as Framebuffer, Xorg, Wayland, or Android.
- Creating custom Debian-based Linux images that support Flutter runtime.
- Activating and configuring open-source GPU drivers and enabling hardware acceleration.
- Exploring Flutter engine compatibility within embedded Linux frameworks.
- Deploying and testing a minimalist Flutter application, assessing performance, and pinpointing optimization opportunities.
