Role Overview
We are in search of a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to enhance our cloud platform capabilities as we scale our operations. This position will be pivotal in deploying, automating, and managing cloud platform services utilizing Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), supporting both Windows and Linux environments, and enabling multi-region deployments while embedding secure self-service functionalities for development teams.
You will utilize cutting-edge CI/CD tools, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and cloud-native services to construct and manage robust platform foundations. The role is framed by the cloud Well-Architected Framework principles, ensuring our solutions uphold the highest standards of security, performance, reliability, operational excellence, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage secure, scalable, multi-region cloud platforms across Azure and GCP to support product and engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain container platforms for microservices and lightweight workloads using managed container and orchestration services.
- Architect and oversee core platform networking, including routing, firewalls, load balancing, and CDN/Edge global traffic management.
- Provide shared platform services such as API management, messaging, eventing, identity integration, and managed data services.
- Lead infrastructure automation and platform standardization with Terraform, GitHub, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to enable repeatable, compliant deployments.
- Create self-service platform capabilities (templates, pipelines, guardrails) that empower teams to deploy independently while adhering to security and governance standards.
- Implement and manage serverless platforms and applications to support event-driven and integration workloads.
- Integrate Well-Architected Framework principles into platform design for enhanced reliability, performance, cost-efficiency, security, and operability.
