This opportunity arises due to the reassignment of the current resource responsible for critical batch processing setup, configuration, and monitoring using the enterprise workload scheduling tool, TWS.This role is expected to commence on April 6, 2015, and will conclude on October 6, 2015.Key responsibilities include:Engaging with customers to gather business requirements, transforming them into technical specifications, and creating customer presentations and training materials.Providing project management and coordination skills to ensure project timelines are met.Utilizing TDWS, TDWC, and Job Scheduling Console to support various business lines by creating and monitoring distributed agents, managing calendars and schedules, forecasting, setting up filters, and maintaining libraries in a 24/7 production environment.Managing mainframe scheduling through TWS, TSO, JCL, RACF security, and Linux to facilitate automated batch scheduling tasks in a continuous production setting.Working with secure file transfer technologies.Employing job control language, Windows CMD, and Linux/Unix in a TWS environment.Troubleshooting job failures and executing the necessary corrective actions.Managing incidents using SCSM.Preparing monthly activity recaps for management review.Capturing metrics for planning and forecasting.Recommending continuous improvement initiatives for the environment, standard operating procedures, and business processes.
