Join Rodeo FX as a Temporary Contract Animation Artist where you will play a pivotal role in crafting stunning, hyper-realistic animations for characters, creatures, and dynamic objects. With a keen eye for detail encompassing timing, weight, and emotional expression, your work will breathe life into both realistic and stylized animated assets. Collaborating closely with the Animation Lead and Supervisor, you will contribute your creative and technical expertise to ensure each shot aligns with the project’s artistic vision and technical requirements while meeting crucial deadlines.

Master Your Craft
- Produce polished animation that satisfies both creative aspirations and production standards.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of animation principles such as timing, weight, arcs, and posing across various performance styles.
- Quickly adapt to a range of animation contexts, including realistic creatures, mechanical objects, and stylized characters.
Creative Quality
- Interpret creative direction and reference materials to generate nuanced, expressive performances.
- Suggest original ideas and motion choices that enhance storytelling and the overall impact of each shot.
- Actively seek and integrate constructive feedback to elevate animation quality.
Technical Quality
- Ensure that animations are clean, functional, and ready for export to downstream teams.
- Proactively troubleshoot rigging or scene-related challenges in collaboration with technical teams.
- Adhere to naming conventions, file structures, and technical requirements in line with pipeline standards.
Communication
- Provide realistic time estimates, promptly communicate any issues or potential delays, and coordinate with production to adjust priorities as needed.
- Maintain open lines of communication with production, leads, and adjacent departments to facilitate smooth transitions and problem resolution.
- Proactively identify roadblocks and propose practical solutions for technical or creative challenges.
- Participate actively in dailies and reviews, presenting your work clearly and responding to feedback.
